Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales and the European Centre for Documentary Research, University of South Wales presents:
Capital/ Consumerism/Culture
In response to the exhibitions presented in the Photography Season at Amgueddfa Cymru - National Museum Wales, this conference will address the politics of photography in terms of its relationship to capital, consumerism and culture. The conference will include presentations from artists, theorists, historians and curators who will look at art and photography in terms of its economics, the art market, class structures, consumerism and commodity culture. The full list of confirmed speakers includes Julian Sander, Hilde Van Gelder, Russell Roberts, Amak Mahmoodian, Carey Young and Jean Wainwright.
