'The View from my House’ film, made by Ian Wiblin and Anthea Kennedy will be screened in Liverpool this coming weekend as part of the Look/15 Liverpool International Photography Festival. This moving art film is based in part on a memory of a young photographer who lived in the Tempelhof district of Berlin, before her exile from Nazi Germany. The film, drawing on letters and notebooks, foregrounds the way in which the woman’s life was stunted by increasing marginalization and terror.
The screening will be followed with a Q&A with the film makers, Ian Wiblin and Anthea Kennedy, and the arts writer Sue Steward.
This film is also being screened in London in June as part of an event hosted by Counterpoint Arts on the theme of migration and refugees.
